Other Ministries

St. David's works as a community to extend both physical and financial support to various organizations in our neighborhood, the larger metropolitan area, and internationally.

Crop Walk (Church World Services)

Each fall, St. David's walkers, children, youth and adults, participate in Glenview's annual Crop Walk. We walk with members of other local churches, from many denominations. The funds raised go to support international food security; a portion remains in the local community through the Northfield Food Pantry. Learn more about the Crop Walk throughout the U.S. by visiting: CWS Crop Walk

St. David’s Fuller Grants

Addressing Hunger of the Spirit, Mind, and Body: In December of 2012, St. David’s announced the recipients of $150,000 in 18 one-time grants to local, metro-area and international service organizations. The grants were one-time gifts from a fund established for the church nearly fifty years ago by long-time Glenview residents the late Eugene W. and Marjorie K. Fuller.  Please click here for a complete listing of the Fuller Grant Recipients

ReVive Center for Housing and Healing (formerly Cathedral Shelter)

Each year, St. David's parishioners provide Christmas Dinner groceries and gifts for needy families. A Giving Tree is set up in the undercroft, offering parishioners a choice of donating food, toy, and clothing gifts for families. In addition, monthly donations of gently used items are donated to the ReVive Center. Please visit the ReVive website.

Connections for the Homeless

Once a month, St. David's youth groups or families prepare and serve a meal at Connections for the Homeless, a homeless shelter located in Evanston, Illinois. Click here to go to Connections for the Homeless.

Northfield Township Food Pantry

St. David's supports the Northfield Township Food Pantry, which assists needy families in our community. Each September, parishioners donate over 100 bags of groceries which help to stock the shelves of the pantry. The Bread Brigade collects baked goods weekly from local bakeries and restaurants for the pantry and holds food distributions at the church every 10 days.
