The ReVive Center for Housing and Healing
St. David’s has a long history of partnership with the ReVive Center through the annual Giving Tree ministry. St. David’s works to collect gifts and food that is distributed to program participants that are in need. St. David’s also conducts monthly collections for requested items that support the ongoing ministry of the ReVive Center. To find out more information about how you can be a part of this ministry, please contact our parish office.
The Northfield Township Food Pantry
Throughout the year, our parishioners collect an assortment of non-perishable food items, as well as useful home products. These items are collected, blessed, and distributed to the Northfield Township Food Pantry to assist in providing basic necessities to families in need of additional support. For more information about how you can be a part of this ministry, please contact our parish office.
Holy Family Ministries
St. David’s has a long history of partnership with the Holy Family Lutheran School, which is located in the Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago’s west side. This school provides educational and support opportunities for children grades K through 8. Our direct support of this school continues to enrich the lives and development of our neighbors. To find out more about how you can join in this ministry, please contact our parish office.
KnitWits
Parishioners at St. David’s gather weekly to complete knitting projects. The hats and scarves that this ministry creates are collected, blessed, and distributed to the Seamen’s Church. Each lovingly knitted item provides a sense of warmth and carries the prayers of our community to mariners that work on inland waterways, as well as to participants of the Night Ministry in Chicago. If you would like to learn more about being a part of this ministry, please contact our parish office.
Feed My Starving Children
Parishioners at St. David’s gather throughout the year to help Feed My Starving Children provide meals for malnourished children around the world. The “Manna Packs” produced during these packing sessions provide nutritious and reliable sources of food for families in need.
It is our joy to participate in this ministry. Packing meals is holy work, aided by the enthusiasm of the packing center, and culminating in a closing prayer and blessing over the packed food.
If you would like to learn more about being a part of this ministry, please contact our parish office.
